In Unit 4, we discuss what it means to be a Muslim, starting with the translation of the word “Muslim”. We’ll talk about the characters and values Muslims should cultivate, including honesty, anti-bullying, anti-racism, and cherishing humanity’s diversity. We also emphasize the justice themed verses of the Quran to lay the foundation of what it means to be a Muslim.

In Lesson 1, students will begin learning what it means to be a Muslim, beginning with the definition of the word “Muslim”. They will discover what it means to be peaceful in their hearts, kind to others, and to show good behavior wherever they go.
